Full distance · fixed time budget

A method, not motivation.

A training squad for age-group triathletes who want a clear plan for full distance that fits the hours they actually have.

Polarized, on a fixed weekly time budget.

Most of the week is easy enough to hold a conversation. A small part is genuinely hard. Almost nothing is in between. And the week has to fit a number of hours you set in advance, not a volume target you keep missing.

Easy, mostly

The bulk of the week is easy aerobic work. It builds the engine without making you too tired to train the next day.

Hard, briefly

A small amount of work that actually hurts. It's the intensity that easy volume alone can't give you.

Budget first

Decide the hours, then build the week to fit. Plan around your life, not the other way round.

The honest part: full distance rewards volume, and a fixed budget caps it. What you protect, what you cut and what that costs you on race day is the question this squad exists to work through. We'll do it in the open. The best evidence for polarized training comes from high-volume athletes. Applying it to people on limited hours is a reasonable bet, not a settled fact, and we'll say so.

Who it's for

Your first full distance

You've entered, and the fear is not finishing. You want a plan that gets you to the line on the hours you have, without needing to live like a pro.

You've finished one. Now faster.

You know what the day costs. You want to stop blowing up on the run, and find the time your current plan is leaving on the table.

Where things stand

This is day one, and we'd rather say so than pretend otherwise.

  • The method is defined: polarized training on a fixed time budget, for full distance.
  • The YouTube channel is starting, with the reasoning behind the method, shown in the open.
  • The squad forms as people join. No results to show yet. We'll share them honestly as they come.
  • A training planner built around the method is in development.
