Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data Triathlon Syndicate collects, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: if you join the mailing list, we keep your email address so we can email you. That's all this website collects.
Who we are
Triathlon Syndicate is run by Oliver Rodgers, who is the data controller for the information described here. Contact: hello@triathlonsyndicate.com.
What we collect
- If you join the mailing list: your email address and a record that you agreed to receive emails, including when.
- If you email us: your email address and whatever you choose to write.
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, to run and secure the site.
Why, and on what legal basis
We use your email address to send Syndicate updates. The legal basis is your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email, or by contacting us. Withdrawing doesn't affect emails already sent.
Who processes it for us
Mailing-list addresses are stored and sent through MailerLite, which processes them on our behalf and under our instructions. If that provider stores data outside the UK, the transfer is covered by the safeguards the provider sets out in its own data processing terms. We don't sell or share your data with anyone else.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After that it's removed from the list. The provider may keep a minimal suppression record so that you aren't emailed again by mistake.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, ask us to restrict or stop using it, and withdraw your consent. Contact hello@triathlonsyndicate.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
YouTube API Services
We publish our videos with a tool that uses YouTube API Services. The tool acts only on our own YouTube channel. It uploads our videos, and it reads our channel's statistics and the public comments posted on our videos so we can respond to them. It doesn't sign in to, or access, viewers' YouTube or Google accounts.
By watching or interacting with our content on YouTube, you're also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google handles your data under the Google Privacy Policy. You can review or revoke any app's access to your Google account at Google security settings.
Children
Triathlon Syndicate is aimed at adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your email address, we'll tell you by email first.
